Recycling
The Peninsula neighborhood is on Dallas Schedule Thursday B.  Place recycling roll cart at your collection place no later than 7 a.m. on your pickup day. Note: Residents participating in the Residential Recycling Demonstration Program or who receive manual bag service (you have "manual service" if your garbage is collected in bags instead of carts) will have no changes in their weekly recycling service.

Recycle these items:

• Glass (all colors)
• Plastics #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #7
• Newspapers, magazines, junk mail,
• telephone books
• Steel, tin, aerosol & aluminum cans
• Chipboard & corrugated cardboard

Free blue bags are available at Dallas recreation centers and libraries. For more information call (214) 670-4475 or 3-1-1.  Free bags subject to availability.
Translucent blue bags for recycling can also be purchased at area retail stores.

Reminder:
If it is not on the list, or if it takes too much water to clean, it goes in the garbage!

Other Recycling Options
Privately-owned turquoise and yellow recycling bins, located at most schools, churches and businesses, accept all clean and uncontaminated mixed paper. Please call Metro 817-792-4055.

Brush and Bulk pick up
The Peninsula neighborhood is scheduled for bulk pick up the third week of the month.

2007 Schedule
Week of: 2/19, 3/19, 4/16, 5/21, 6/18, 7/16, 8/20, 9/17, 10/15, 11/19, 12/17.

Once-a-month collection from the front curb includes large limbs, shrubbery, bagged leaves (in sealed bags with a maximum 50 gallon capacity), furniture, appliances, mattresses and box springs. Please place your items out on the front curb for collection no later than 7:00 A.M. the Monday of your pick-up week. It is also important to remember that items should not be set out for pick up earlier than 7:00 A.M. on the Thursday preceding your collection week.
